(a) Golf carts, utility vehicles, or other low speed vehicles operated on the streets and public property within the Village of New Lexington, Ohio, shall have a minimum of the following functional equipment there on:
(1) At least one working rear red colored tail light
(2) A light to illuminate the rear license plate and make the plate legible from a distance of fifty (50) feet.
(3) At least one working brake light.
(4) Two headlights, white or clear in color.
(5) A horn.
(6) A rearview mirror.
(7) A windshield.
(8) Windshield wiper.
(9) Turn signals.
(10) Brakes sufficient to stop within forty (40) feet.
(11) An emergency brake sufficient to hold the vehicle on any grade.
(12) Working exhaust system if the unit has an internal combustion engine.
(13) One seat belt per occupant of the vehicle.
(b) All-Purpose Vehicles operated on the Streets and public property within the Village of New Lexington, Ohio, shall have a minimum of the following functional equipment there on:
(1) At least one working rear red colored tail light.
(2) A light to illuminate the rear license plate and make the plate legible from distance of fifty (50) feet.
(3) At least one working brake light.
(4) One headlight, white or clear in color
(5) Brakes sufficient to stop within forty (40) feet
(6) An emergency brake sufficient to hold the vehicle on any grade
(7) Working exhaust system if the unit has an internal combustion engine
(c) Whoever violates this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor and fined not more than one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
