153.01 RESIGNATION PROCEDURE.
   (a)   Any elected officeholder in the City may resign by submitting a written resignation of his office to the Mayor.
   (b)   Upon receipt of a resignation as provided in subsection (a) hereof, the Mayor shall forthwith accept the same by tendering to said resigned officer his acceptance in writing.
