(a) The Fire Department is authorized to provide to other political subdivisions within the State of Ohio pursuant to Ohio R.C. 9.06(D), personnel and equipment for fighting fires, for providing emergency medical services, for the handling of hazardous materials emergencies, for the investigation of the cause and origin of fires, for search and rescue and for responding to any natural disaster to which they are equipped to respond.
(b) The Fire Department is authorized to participate in any joint training programs sponsored by it or any other political subdivisions of the State of Ohio. In furtherance of the objective of participating in such training, the Fire Department is authorized to make available any of its personnel and equipment during such training sessions even though it is being provided in a nonemergency situation.
(c) The Fire Chief, or his designee, shall be authorized to permit any of the Fire Department’s personnel or equipment to be made available for mutual aid to any political subdivision within the State of Ohio pursuant to subsections (a) and (b) hereof.
