(a) General Prohibition. Any person who shall violate any provision of this Chapter or who by any means shall cause the same to be done, or who shall fail to conform to a directive of the Code Enforcement Officer that is issued because of a violation of this Chapter, shall be subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions provided in this Chapter.
(b) Specific Violations. Failure to comply with any of the following requirements shall constitute a violation of this Chapter:
(1) Registering all rental units within the registration period.
(2) Updating information on the rental property registration form within twenty (20) days of any material change in any information provided on the form.
(3) Providing access to rental units when authorized by the tenant or by an administrative warrant and allowing inspections as required by this Chapter.
(4) Delivering the City of New Lexington Tenants’ Rights Guide to each tenant at such time that a rental relationship is established or as otherwise required by this Chapter.
(5) When demanded by the Code Enforcement Officer, providing proof that the City of New Lexington Tenants' Rights Guide has been delivered to each tenant pursuant to the requirements of this Chapter.
(c) Violations of Other Provisions of the City of New Lexington Code. Violations that are identified through the enforcement of this Chapter shall be prosecuted according to the enforcement and penalty provisions of the applicable Codes.
