(a) Upon the Mayor declaring a water emergency, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or entity during the period of emergency to use water supplied by the City for the purpose of watering lawns, gardens, flowers, and other outdoor vegetation or for the purpose of washing vehicles, porches, patios, decks, driveways, sidewalks or other outdoor areas. This section does not apply to commercial car washes.
(b) Upon the Mayor declaring a water emergency, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or entity during the period of the emergency to use water supplied by the City for any purpose which the Mayor bans in addition to those stated in subsection (a) hereof.
(c) The fine for violating subsection (a) or (b) hereof shall be a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100.00). If the person has been previously convicted of violating subsection (a) or (b) hereof, the water supply being used during the violation shall be shut off and a maximum fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00) imposed. The water service may be restored upon the payment of the turn-on fee.
