(a) The standard residential meter shall be 5/8 inch x 3/4 inch with a maximum flow rate of 25 gallons per minute (gpm). The next larger meter shall be one inch with a maximum flow rate of 60 gpm. A one-inch meter shall service not more than two apartment units.
(b) The next larger size shall be two inches with a maximum flow rate of 160 gpm. All meters two inches and larger shall be compound meters. Maximum flow rates of other larger sizes are three inch - 225 gpm; four inch - 350 gpm six inch - 750 gpm; eight inch - 1200 gpm; and ten inch - 2000 gpm. (Ord. 09-04. Passed 3-23-09.)
