Whenever this traffic code or any ordinance of the city designates and describes a stop intersection, it shall be the duty of the City Engineer to place and maintain a stop sign on each street intersecting that portion thereof which is described and designated in the list of stop intersections maintained on file in the office of the city’s Clerk-Treasurer.
