7-10-1: DEFINITIONS:
   ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE (ATV): A vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine manufactured and used exclusively for off highway use traveling on four (4) or more low pressure tires, and having a seat designed to be straddled by the operator and handlebars for steering.
GO-KART: Any four (4) wheeled internal combustion or electrical vehicle that is powered by an electric motor that draws current from rechargeable storage batteries or other sources of electrical current and whose top speed may be up to thirty (30) miles per hour designed primarily for operation on a go-kart track or course and which is not registered with the State of Oklahoma.
   GOLF CART: Any four (4) wheeled internal combustible or electrical vehicle that is powered by an electric motor that draws current from rechargeable storage batteries or other sources of electrical current and whose top speed is greater than twenty (20) miles per hour but not greater than twenty five (25) miles per hour designed primarily for the operation on a recreational golf course which is not registered with the State of Oklahoma.
   LOW SPEED ELECTRICAL VEHICLE (LSEV): Any four (4) wheeled electrical vehicle that is powered by an electric motor that draws current from rechargeable storage batteries or other sources of electrical current and whose top speed is greater than twenty (20) miles per hour but not greater than twenty five (25) miles per hour and is manufactured in compliance with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration standards for low speed vehicles in 49 CFR 571.500. Also, any three (3) or four (4) wheeled electrical powered chair or scooter type vehicles used by handicapped persons which generally have top speeds less than twenty (20) miles per hour which may or may not be in compliance with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration standards.
   MAINTENANCE UTILITY VEHICLE: A vehicle powered by either an internal combustion engine or electrical vehicle that is powered by an electric motor that draws current from rechargeable storage batteries or other sources of electrical current and whose top speed is greater than twenty (20) miles per hour but not greater than twenty five (25) miles per hour utilized for transportation of City employees or equipment during routine maintenance of City owned property or facilities.
   MINITRUCK: A foreign manufactured import or domestic manufactured vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine with a piston or rotor displacement of one thousand (1,000) cubic centimeters or less, which is sixty seven inches (67") or less in width, with an unladen dry weight of three thousand four hundred (3,400) pounds or less, traveling on four (4) or more tires, having a top speed of approximately fifty five (55) miles per hour, equipped with a bed or compartment for hauling, and having an enclosed passenger cab.
   UTILITY VEHICLE (UTV): A vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine, manufactured and used exclusively for off highway use, equipped with seating for two (2) or more people and a steering wheel, traveling on four (4) or more wheels. (Ord. 2017-2, 4-15-2019, eff. 4-15-2019)
