723.99 PENALTIES.
   (a)   Civil Penalties. In addition to any other enforcement permitted by this chapter, the Law Director may bring a civil action for injunctive relief and civil penalties against any person or entity that violates this chapter. In any civil action brought pursuant to this chapter, a court of competent jurisdiction may award reasonable attorney's fees and costs to the prevailing party.
   (b)   Criminal Penalties. The violation of any provision of this chapter is unlawful and is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or a jail term of six months, or both. Each and every day on which a violation occurs shall be deemed to be a separate violation.
