§ 155.03 SIGN CONTRACTORS.
   (A)   The base fee for contractor’s licenses required in this chapter shall be $50.
   (B)   The annual renewal fee for all contractor’s licenses covered in this section shall be $50.
   (C)   No person, except a licensed sign contractor, property owner or tenant shall engage in the business of manufacturing, installing, erecting, repairing, painting, altering, servicing or removing signs.
   (D)   A sign contractor’s license, shall be obtained from the City Clerk.
   (E)   Employees of duly licensed sign contractors shall not be required to obtain a license or pay a fee in order to engage in the work of their regular course of employment.
   (F)   (1)   A surety bond in the sum of $5,000 to be known as the sign contractor’s bond shall be deposited with the City Clerk before a sign contractor’s license shall be issued.
      (2)   The bond shall be executed by the sign contractor and the surety bond shall be in favor of the city and shall be a corporate surety company authorized to do business in this state.
