§ 153.085 LANDSCAPING AND NATURAL FEATURES.
   (A)   Existing natural features which would add value to residential development, such as trees, watercourses and the like, shall be considered for preservation in the design of the subdivision. No trees shall be removed from any proposed subdivision, nor any change of grade of the land made, until the Planning Commission and the City Council have both approved the preliminary plat.
   (B)   All trees and the like to be preserved, shall be shown on the sketch.
   (C)   All trees, where required, shall be welled and protected against change of grade.
   (D)   New trees or landscaping to be provided by the developer, shall be subject to review and approval by the Planning Commission, in accordance with Ch. 154 of this code of ordinances.
   (E)   (1)   Where a stream, pond, lake or other special natural contours exist and/or where the same is planned by the developer to be a part of a proposed land subdivision within the city, then and in the event where a septic/lateral system of waste disposal is to be used, there shall be a minimum of two-thirds of the required minimum lot size clear of standing water (example: one-half acre clear of standing water, where three-quarters of an acre is the required minimum lot size).
      (2)   The city may approve reduced lot frontage to a width of not less than 20 feet when it is necessary to take advantage of, and preserve the natural contours of a tract of land when such reduced lot frontage is requested by the developer.
