§ 153.005 OFFICIAL RECORDING.
   (A)   No land shall be subdivided or plat filed within the jurisdictional area of the Municipal Planning Commission of the city until the subdivider or his or her agent shall obtain the approval of the Planning Commission and the City Council for the preliminary plat and the final plat of the proposed subdivision.
   (B)   No plat or other land subdivision instrument shall be filed in the office of the County Clerk until it shall have received approval, as herein required.
   (C)   All parts of record (i.e., final plats) shall be filed within two years of the date of final approval by Municipal Planning Commission and no lot shall be recorded as transferred by the County Clerk regarding any final plat, until such plat is filed.
   (D)   Failure to record the plat within two years of the date of approval shall void all approvals thereto.
