(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to carry upon or about his or her person any pistol, revolver, hand gun, knife, dagger, metal knuckles or other dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument, except when doing so in compliance with the laws of the state.
(B) It shall be unlawful for any person other than a commissioned peace officer to enter on or in any public or private property upon which signs have been posted prohibiting possession of any weapon.
(C) The provisions of this section shall not apply to commissioned peace officers of duly licensed CLEET certified armed security personnel, who are under contract with the posting entity which owns, controls, leases or operates the posted premises.
