(A) There is hereby created the office of Electrical Inspector for the city. The Electrical Inspector shall be appointed by the City Manager.
(B) The Electrical Inspector shall meet all state requirements, shall have had experience as an electrician, shall be of good moral character and shall be knowledgeable of the approved methods of electrical construction.
(C) (1) The Electrical Inspector shall have all of the powers and duties prescribed by the Electrical Code adopted by this code.
(2) He or she shall also ensure that all municipal ordinances and regulations relating to electrical safety are properly enforced.
