No person shall keep or maintain, or aid, assist or abet in keeping or maintaining, a place where alcoholic beverages are possessed, manufactured, sold, bartered or given away in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter or any public place where persons are permitted to resort for the purpose of drinking alcoholic beverages in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter.
