§ 114.01 REVOCABLE PERMIT GRANTED.
   (A)   Any person, firm, association or corporation engaged in the business of furnishing for residential or commercial sales power, light, heat, electricity, water, natural gas or liquified petroleum gas in the city if, operating under a valid franchise from the city or if compliance is made by payment of all gross receipts taxes as set forth, is hereby granted a revocable permit by the city to construct, erect, install, extend, repair, renew, relocate, replace, operate and maintain a system or works, pipes, pipelines, transmission lines, apparatus, structure and appurtenances used for the purpose of the sales, within all street and utility easements and rights-of-way dedicated for the public use within the city.
   (B)   In the case of main line relocations, the revocable permit is subject however to obtaining a construction permit from the Director of Public Works prior to any construction, erection, installation, extending, repairing, renewing, relocation or replacement of any works, pipes, pipelines, transmission lines, apparatus, structures and appurtenances. The construction permit shall be issued by the Director of Public Works, or his or her designated appointee, without charge, upon satisfactory evidence of the compliance with § 114.02 of this chapter.
