§ 150.48 PERMIT; APPLICATION AND FEES.
   (A)   (1)   It shall be unlawful for any person to move any house, building or structure along or across any street, alley, boulevard or other public ground or thoroughfare in the city, without first obtaining a permit from the City Clerk and without complying with all the provisions of this subchapter.
      (2)   No person, other than a duly licensed house mover, shall be issued a permit.
      (3)   No permit shall be necessary to move buildings or other structures which are under 13.5 feet in height, when loaded, and under 12 feet in width, with an overall length of 50 feet or less.
      (4)   No permit shall be issued to move any building until the service sewer line from the building to be moved shall have been capped by a licensed plumber, as required by the city’s Plumbing Code.
   (B)   Application for permits shall be made upon blanks provided by the office of the City Clerk and shall contain, or have attached thereto, the following information:
      (1)   Name, address, email address, and telephone number of the applicant;
      (2)   Location of the building to be moved;
      (3)   Location or proposed site to which the building is to be moved;
      (4)   Date and time of proposed moved;
      (5)   Map or description of the route to be taken; and
      (6)   Combined height, width, and length of the building to be moved and the truck or equipment to be used for moving the building.
   (C)   (1)   It shall be the duty of the Plumbing Inspector, upon filing of an application for a permit to move a building, to cause an inspection of the building to be made and to cause further investigation to be made as may be necessary for the purpose of determining whether or not the provisions of this subchapter have been or can be complied with.
      (2)   For the inspection, a fee shall be paid by the applicant to the Planning and Community Development Department per Appendix A, Table 6, Line 4.
      (3)   If it shall appear that the application and matters relating thereto are in compliance with the requirements of this subchapter and all other ordinances of the city, he or she shall then issue a permit, which permit shall specify the date and time on which the proposed removal may be accomplished. The permit shall also specify the route to be taken in connection with the movement which shall be subject to inspection by the Street Department.
      (4)   Where a structure is moved to a location outside the corporate limits, fees under this chapter shall apply.
      (5)   When a building is moved into or from a different location within the corporate limits, the applicant shall also supply a building permit for the new location.
   (D)   Every applicant, before being granted a permit hereunder, shall pay to the City Clerk the following permit fees:
      (1)   For moving any building up to and including 26 feet in width: Appendix A, Table 6, Line 5;
      (2)   For moving any building over 26 feet in width: Appendix A, Table 6, Line 6; and
      (3)   No fee shall be charged for moving any building or structure not more than 13.5 feet in height when loaded, 12 feet wide, and an overall length of 50 feet or less.
