(A) There is hereby created the Mechanical and Gas Fitting License Review Board, whose members shall serve at the discretion of the City Manager.
(B) The Board shall have a minimum of five members, who shall be representatives of city staff whose jobs relate in some way to use of the mechanical, Gas and/or Plumbing Codes and related businesses and interested residents of the city.
(C) The purpose of the Board shall be to prepare, provide for administration of, review results of, and grant licenses pursuant to, tests for licensing persons or contractors in the areas of work covered by the Mechanical and Gas Fitting Codes.
(D) (1) The Board shall also be responsible for recommendation to the City Manager or changes to the licensing tests or the procedures involved in their administration. The Board shall also periodically review and recommend, to the City Council, proposed changes to the Mechanical and Gas Fitting Codes adopted by the city.
(2) Fees for the licensing tests shall be established by resolution of the City Council.
