It shall be required of any tow service operating in the city area which wishes to take part and seek calls, that any such participant be licensed and insured before being eligible to provide tow service for the city. Proof of such license as issued by the State of Indiana and a certificate of service must be presented annually to the Chief of Police of the city where it will be kept on file in an alphabetical filing system. All drivers must be properly licensed to operate tow trucks and all must be properly insured providing coverage for liability purposes and for damage to vehicles towed.
