The Board of Health shall consist of five members appointed by Council. Such members shall serve without compensation. The Mayor shall be ex-officio President of the Board.
The initial appointments to the Board shall be as follows: one member for a term of five years, one for a term of four years, one for a term of three years, one for a term of two years and one for a term of one year. Upon the expiration of such initial terms, a member of the Board shall serve for a term of five years.
