(a) Annual Evaluation. Once per year, the Department Head will conduct a performance review to provide an opportunity for ongoing communication about the employee’s job performance. The Department Head will measure the employee’s performance since the last review against the responsibilities of the employee’s position and the policies of the City. The Department Head may hold informal or more frequent review sessions with the employee as he or she deems necessary. Every effort will be made to conduct performance reviews timely, generally around the time of the employee hire date. There may be circumstances which prevent or delay such reviews.
(b) Wage increases for non-exempt employees will be based upon salary tables established in the current Union contract. Wage increases for exempt employees will be determined by the City Manager, after consultation with City Council.
