§ 33.01 CIVIL ORDINANCE VIOLATION ENFORCEMENT VOLUNTEER.
   (A)   Powers and numbers of volunteer violations officers.
      (1)   The Town Council empowers the Town Marshal to appoint Volunteer Town Ordinance Violations Officers.
      (2)   These volunteers shall have the power to write ordinance citations as prescribed in the town code.
      (3)   At no time shall the volunteers be sworn law enforcement officers and shall be limited to the specific powers listed below.
      (4)   This position shall be a non-paid, non-merit, non-benefit position; provided, however, these individuals serving in this position shall be provided with a uniform and all necessary tools needed to complete their duties.
      (5)   There shall be a limit of 2 Volunteer Town Ordinance Violations Officers.

   (B)   Power to write citations. The Ordinance Violation Enforcement Volunteers shall have the authority and power to write citations for the following violations:
      (1)   Illegal parking on town streets, alleys, and parks;
      (2)   Violations of the yard, weed, and grass growth provisions;
      (3)   Improper and/or illegal bicycle, skateboard, and in-line skate use;
      (4)   Domestic animals and all other animal-related issues;
      (5)   Temporary and portable readable signs;
      (6)   Junk, trash, and abandoned vehicles; and/or
      (7)   All other public safety and welfare ordinances deemed necessary by the Town Marshal or Town Council.
