(A) The Clerk-Treasurer is an elected position whose term of office is for 4 years, beginning at 12:00 p.m. noon on January 1 after his or her election and continuing until a successor is elected and qualified.
(B) The Clerk-Treasurer may administer oaths, take depositions, and take acknowledgments of instruments as required by laws.
