(A) When the Department has reason to suspect any improper or incorrect statements by applicant for permit, it may be withheld until the statements are verified or corrected.
(B) For the purpose of securing correct cost and valuation information, the Commissioner may require applicant to show contracts, or make sworn statement, or he or she may place his or her own valuation on work for which permit is applied; or refuse permit altogether until proper information is given.
