The RD-1 District is intended to provide a quiet, pleasant and relatively spacious living area for single-family and two-family dwellings protected from traffic hazards and intrusion, with provision for municipal sanitary sewer service.
(A) Permitted uses.
(1) Single-family dwellings.
(2) Two-family dwellings.
(3) Attached or detached garages.
(4) Garden and yard equipment sheds.
(1) Churches, synagogues and similar places of worship and instruction, including parsonages.
(2) Municipal buildings, except sewerage disposal plants, garbage incinerators, public warehouses, public garages, public shops and storage yards, and penal or correctional institutions and asylums.
(3) Utility offices, provided there is no service garage or storage yard.
(4) Public, parochial and private elementary and secondary schools.
(5) Recreation areas.
(6) Home occupations and professional home offices.
(7) Hospitals, rest homes, rehab centers and adult day care centers.
