509.08 CURFEW.
   (a)   No minor under the age of fourteen shall loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play upon or in the public streets, other public places, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places during the period between dusk and dawn. No minor under the age of eighteen years shall congregate, loaf, loiter or be upon any of the public streets of the Municipality between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and between 11:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. However, the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor or where such minor is exercising his constitutional right of free speech or religion or when returning home from his place of employment.
 
   (b)   Any school, church, lodge or other organization which desires to hold any entertainment for minors under the age of eighteen, and which entertainment will require such minor to be out at a later hour than that called for in this section, shall make application to the Village Administrator for permission to have the minors stay out to this later hour. The application shall state the time the entertainment will end and the names and number of chaperons. Minors who attend such functions shall be required to be off the public street one- hour after the function is ended.
 
   (c)   Any minor found in violation of this section shall be taken to the Municipal Building and the parent, guardian or person in loco parentis shall be notified to come to the Municipal Building to take personal charge of the minor. The minor shall be released only to such parent, guardian or person in loco parentis, or to the juvenile authorities. Any minor found in violation of this section who has once before been held by the juvenile authorities for violation of this section shall be held for the juvenile authorities for proper disposition.
