147.04 VACATION TIME.
   There is hereby allowed to all regular, full-time employees of the departments of the Village, whether employed on a yearly, monthly, daily or hourly basis, annual vacation with pay. Vacation schedules shall be arranged between the employee and his immediate department head at a time that is in keeping with department policy, and rank and seniority shall be the basis for selection of vacation schedule wherever possible. The number of vacation hours given each employee in any year shall be determined the day preceding the first day of such employees vacation period in accordance with the following schedule.
   (a)    Employees who have worked continuously for a period of one year after date of employment shall be entitled to 80 hours vacation with pay. Fire Department employee shall be entitled to two weeks vacation with pay.
   (b)    At the end of five years continuous service with the Village and annually thereafter, an employee shall be entitled to 120 hours vacation with pay. Fire Department employees shall be entitled to three weeks vacation with pay.
   (c)    At the end of fifteen years continuous service with the Village and annually thereafter, an employee shall be entitled to 160 hours vacation with pay. Fire Department employee shall be entitled to four weeks vacation with pay.
   (d)    At the end of twenty-five years continuous service with the Village and annually thereafter, an employee shall be entitled to 200 hours vacation with pay. Fire Department employees shall be entitled to five weeks vacation with pay.
   (e)    For the purpose of determining vacation periods, a week shall consist of a calendar week, Sunday through Saturday, and all vacation periods shall begin on Sunday and end on Saturday.
   (f)    Days specified as holidays in this chapter shall not be charged to an employees vacation leave except for employees of the Police and Fire Departments.
