147.01 HOURS OF WORK; OVERTIME.
   (a)    Regular working hours for all full-time employees shall be forty hours each week, which shall be the standard work week, except as otherwise provided herein. Regular working hours for fire fighting personnel shall be an annual average of fifty-three hours each week. Fire fighting personnel shall work not more than 144 hours in each nineteen day work period.
 
   (b)   All Village employees, other than administrative and professional (supervisory) employees shall be paid overtime pay for time worked in excess of the established normal hours of work per work period, whichever is applicable when authorized by the supervisor and approved by the Mayor or Village Administrator. Overtime pay shall be computed at the rate of one and one-half times the employee’s base hourly rate. Except for fire fighting personnel which overtime pay only will be computed on a 2080-hour work year instead of a 2760-hour work year, to be divided by the annual salary to determine the overtime rate.
 
   (c)   Service department employees may select compensatory time off in lieu of overtime payments in accordance with the Policy and Procedures Manual.
 
   (d)   Administrative and Supervisory (salaried) employees who are not paid overtime for hours worked in excess of forty hours per week are entitled to compensatory time off in accordance with the Policy and Procedures Manual.
