(a) Each newly hired member of the Village Police Department shall receive turnout gear as determined by the Chief of Police. This gear and all uniforms, including those replaced through the use of uniform allowance, shall remain the property of the Village and shall be returned to the Village upon the employee’s separation of employment with the Village.
(b) Each member of the Police Department, both uniformed and civilian, after one year of service, shall receive an annual uniform allowance as follows:
(1) Regular uniformed personnel; $300.00 per year.
(2) Civilian uniformed personnel: $250.00 per year.

(c) Each member of the Department shall indicate his choice of items of uniform as shall be approved by the Chief of Police.
