(a) Upon a request for the erection of a billboard or other permanent signage within the Village, the person or entity desiring to erect a billboard or other permanent signage must do the following:
(1) File a written application with the Village Zoning Board and pay a one- time non-refundable application fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00). Said application shall contain appropriate plans for the erection of the proposed billboard or signage.
(2) The Zoning Board will conduct a hearing and review the application and plan for the establishment of the proposed permanent signage to ensure that the proposed billboard or sign complies with Ohio law and/or any applicable Village rule, regulation or ordinance(s).
(3) At the conclusion of the hearing and review process the Zoning Board will make a recommendation to Village Council regarding the application.
(b) All approved or existing permanent signage within the Village shall be subject to an annual fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) plus one dollar ($1.00) per square foot.

(c) All approved or existing signage located on or contained within benches located within the Village of New Boston, Ohio shall be subject to an annual fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
