Each person whose application for license has been approved under the provisions of this chapter, shall, before receiving the license to engage in such business, give bond to the approval of the Mayor and the Clerk in the sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000) for all damages resulting from any act on the part of the licensee in the course of carrying on such business or for damages resulting to any person from any act or omission on the part of the licensee, contrary to the provisions of this chapter.
