When determined through investigation by the Village Administrator that weeds, grass or other undesirable vegetation exceeding the height specified in Section 557.01 or that trees or shrubs exceeding the clear height specified in Section 557.02 exist upon land within the corporate limits of the Municipality, the Village Administrator shall issue a notice by posting a door hanger on the structure located thereon of the weeds, grass, other undesirable vegetation, trees or shrubs are not trimmed or maintained in accordance with the above cited sections. If there is no structure, no notice by posting shall be required. If the weeds, grass, other undesirable vegetation, trees, or shrubs are not trimmed or maintained in accordance with this chapter within three (3) days of the posting of notice, or if no notice by posting can be provided, the Village Administrator shall issue a notice of violation to the owner of such land by certified mail, return receipt requested or regular mail. Said notice shall contain an order to cut or destroy the weeds, grass or vegetation or trim such trees or shrubs within ten (10) days of receipt of the notice.
