§ 96.116 NUISANCE ANIMALS.
   If Newberry County Animal Care and Control has complaints filed with them concerning a nuisance animal, they will investigate the situation, and if necessary, request the assistance of Newberry County Sheriff's Office or if in a city or town, the local law enforcement office. The owner of the problem animal may be issued a citation to correct the situation, and law enforcement may also file a report on the situation. If the problem persists, the animal may be impounded by Newberry County Animal Care and Control, and the owner may be prosecuted.
