§ 50.03 CONTAINERS.
   (A)   Refuse containers shall be provided by the owner, tenant, lessee or occupant of the premises. Refuse containers shall be maintained in good condition. Any container that does not conform to the provisions of this chapter, or that may have ragged or sharp edges or any other defects liable to hamper or injure the person collecting the contents thereof, shall be properly replaced upon notice. The Sanitation Superintendent shall have the authority to refuse collection services for failure to comply herewith.
   (B)   (1)   Garbage containers shall be made of metal or any other suitable material, equipped with handles and tight-fitting covers and shall be watertight. The containers shall have a capacity of not more than 20 gallons, shall be of a type approved by the Board of Health and shall be kept in a clean, neat and sanitary condition at all times. Plastic bags may also be used if they have a capacity of not more than 30 gallons, are made of not less than .00125 gauge plastic material, and are fastened securely at the top. No person, firm or corporation shall supply anyone else with any plastic bags intended or advertised to be used for garbage bags unless the plastic is at least .00125 gauge plastic material. Ash containers shall be made of metal and have a capacity of not more than 20 gallons.
      (2)   Rubbish containers shall be of a kind suitable for collection purposes and shall be of a such weight that they can be handled by one man.
