§ 36.05 PROCEDURE UPON DENIAL OF ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS.
If a citizen is denied access to a document, he or she shall inform the Public Records Access Officer. A form shall be made available to state the nature of the document, the reason for denial, and the time and date. After a 24-hour wait for the decision to be reversed, a citizen may ask a circuit or superior court to order a document disclosed. If the request is received on a Friday or on a date preceding a nonbusiness day, the Records Access Officer shall have until the same hour on the next business day in which to reverse the decision. A copy of the form shall be maintained at all times in the office of the Clerk.
