§ 36.03 RECORDS ACCESS OFFICERS; GUIDELINES.
   (A)   In order to implement the Access to Public Records Act (I.C. 5-14-3-1 et seq.), the City Clerk is hereby designated as the person responsible for public records release decisions, and will be referred to as the Records Access Officer and in the absence of the Clerk the City Controller is hereby designated as the Records Access Officer. A Deputy Records Access Officer is to be designated by the Chief of Police to be the person responsible for public records release decisions concerning Police Department records.
   (B)   The Records Access Officer shall be guided by the Access to Public Records Act (I.C. 5-14-3-1 et seq.) and any amendments thereto, and shall also be guided by any state and federal laws regarding privacy, confidentiality and disclosure requirements of certain records.
