§ 32.002 FIREFIGHTERS' PENSION FUND; BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
   (A)   There is created and established a Firefighters' Pension Fund as provided for and by authority of I.C. 36-8-7 et seq.
   (B)   There is created a Board of Trustees of the Firefighters' Pension Fund of the city as provided for and by authority of I.C. 36-8-7 et seq.
   (C)   The surviving spouse of a deceased member of the Firefighters' Pension Fund shall be paid an amount equal to 40% of a fully paid first-class firefighter pursuant to I.C. 36-8-7-12.1(b)2(A). This section applies only to those surviving spouses of members of the Firefighters' Pension Fund who were hired as members of the city's Fire Department prior to May 1, 1977, and did not convert benefits under I.C. 36-8-8-9.
