No person who is the owner, agent, operator or other person in charge of any vehicle shall permit said vehicle to remain parked, standing or abandoned upon any street for a continuous period longer than 24 hours. This section shall not be construed as affecting any other parking regulation now in effect or that hereafter may become effective but shall be construed as additional parking limitation. The purpose of this section is to prohibit the continuous longtime parking and the storage of vehicles on the streets of the city.
