The approval of the preliminary plan by the Planning Commission shall be effective for a maximum period of one year from the date of its approval, unless an extension of the approval has been granted, in writing, by the Planning Commission. If the final plat application is not accepted within one year, the preliminary plan approval shall expire and become void.
