This policy was created from the policy initially adopted by the City of Nauvoo on February 13, 2001, and from a model policy developed in 2017 by the Illinois Municipal League (IML), both of which borrowed provisions from the Illinois Department of Human Rights Sexual Harassment Model Policy. Both the City policy and the IML model policy conform to Public Act 100-0554, which took effect on November 16, 2017. Due to the subsequent enactment of Public Act 100-1066, this policy has been updated to reflect the new deadline to file a complaint with the IDHR. |
