A. The administrative fee is currently set at two hundred dollars ($200.00) but may be changed from time to time by the City Council as necessary.
B. All administrative fees and towing and storage charges shall be imposed on the registered owner of the motor vehicle or the agents of that owner.
C. The administrative fee shall be in addition to any other penalties that may be assessed by a court of law for the underlying violations and any towing or storage fees, or both, charged by the towing company.
D. The administrative fee shall be uniform for all similarly situated vehicles.
E. The administrative fee shall be collected by, and paid to, the City of Nauvoo.
F. The towing or storage fees, or both, shall be collected by, and paid to, the person, firm, or entity that tows and stores the impounded vehicle.
G. An impounded vehicle may be released to the owner of record, a lessee, or a lien holder of record only after payment of all administrative fees and towing and storage charges. (Ord. 2014-8, 3-10-2015)
