Smoke detectors shall be installed as follows: one in each guestroom used for sleeping purposes; one in each hallway or corridor on each floor; one in each living room or lounge area; one in each dining room; and one in the basement and in each workshop area.
Carbon monoxide detectors shall be installed in rooms used for sleeping purposes if fossil fuels are used to provide heating, cooling, or hot water, if a garage is attached to the building, or if other nearby sources emit carbon monoxide. (Ord. 2011-4, 12-13-2011)
