All appointments made by the Mayor to the Records Commission are subject to the approval of Council. Further, appointments made by the Mayor to the Commission shall be for a period of time not to exceed seven months for the first term and in any case said appointment shall expire on January 1 of the year following the appointment. Thereafter, the term of appointment shall be for a period of five years. The Mayor may remove any member, at any time, for misconduct, neglect of duty or malfeasance in office, subject to the approval by Council.
