The duties of the City Engineer will include the planning, design and inspection of municipal sewer, water, street, and other projects and improvements; also, the City Engineer shall have the duties of plan and plat review as required by the City Zoning Code; moreover, the City Engineer shall be responsible for bridge inspection to the extent required by Section 723.54 of the Ohio Revised Code; and also shall have such other duties as may from time to time be assigned to him or her by the Public Works Director or City Manager. Nothing in this section shall be construed as limiting the power and authority of the City to contract for professional services to assist the City Engineer in his or her duties. (Ord. 099-11.
