Exempt from this chapter are charitable, religious or educational organizations as defined in Ohio R.C. 2915.01(H), (I) or (J); charitable organizations as defined in Ohio R.C. 1716.03; persons soliciting, canvassing or peddling solely for a bonafide political or religious purpose; persons solely taking or attempting to take orders for subscriptions to newspapers having their principal sale or distribution in this Municipality or in the County; persons solely selling fruits, vegetables or similar architectural products homegrown by the seller; minors solely engaged in a bonafide fundraising that is directly associated with school or sport activities; persons conducting business on or at a public place where the person is otherwise permitted to occupy for such purpose by a governmental agency with authority to permit the same.
