§ 52.02 UTILITIES MAINTENANCE PERSON.
   (A)   Position created. The Mayor may employ, with the approval of the City Council, a competent person in the position of utilities maintenance person. He or she may report to the Mayor, as instructed by his or her job description and policy and procedure resolution. He or she may be removed from his or her position at any time for due cause.
   (B)   Duties. The maintenance person of the utilities systems shall, under the direction of the Mayor, have charge of all water and water sources, water tanks, water mains, fire hydrants and all the equipment pertaining to the waterworks and sewage systems. He or she shall be responsible for the proper installation and maintenance of all water and sewer lines. The Mayor shall bring to the City Council his or her reports on the condition of the waterworks and the sewer system, and make such suggestions as the nature of the service may require.
