8-1-5: DEPOSIT TO ACCOMPANY APPLICATION:
A deposit, to be set by resolution by the city council, shall be made with each application for water service, this sum to be retained by the city, to ensure payment of all bills. When service to an applicant is discontinued permanently, this deposit, less any amount still due the city for water, sewer and garbage services, shall be refunded without interest. Where any applicant for services is the owner of the premises to be served, the deposit will be refunded after one year of regular monthly payments. (1999 R.O. § 8-1-6)
