The City Manager, Public Works Director, Fire Chief, Police Chief and other duly authorized employees of the city, bearing proper credentials and identification, shall be permitted to enter all properties for inspection purposes when there is reasonable cause to believe a dangerous building exists on the property. Such entry may only be made after requesting entry from the occupant if the property is occupied or from the owner of the building if the property is unoccupied.
