Animals which have been impounded shall be placed in a designated animal impound facility. The following animals may be impounded by the City or its designee(s):
A. An animal being kept or maintained contrary to the provisions of this title;
B. An animal running at large contrary to the provisions of this title;
C. An animal which is by this title required to be licensed and is not licensed. An animal not wearing a tag shall be presumed to be unlicensed for purposes of this title;
D. Sick or injured animals whose owner cannot be located;
E. An abandoned animal;
F. Animals which are not vaccinated for rabies in accordance with the requirements of this title;
G. An animal to be held for quarantine; or
H. A vicious animal not properly confined as required by section 6.12.080 of this title. (Ord. 17-15)
