The Charter of the Town of Murphy as set forth in Chapter 261 of the 1979 Session Laws of North Carolina, as amended, is hereby further amended in the first sentence of Section 3.2 to provide that the Mayor and Members of the Board of Commissioners shall be elected every four years according to the nonpartisan primary and election method as set out in G.S. §§ 160A-101(7)d and 163A-1618.
